Carried out during a week-long studio residency in Bristol, Spaces Between was the result of a need for a period of time investigating personal thoughts and experiences in a different creative space. By reflecting upon a certain period of separation between myself and another, each minute of these days was represented with a single brushmark.
With 1,440 minutes in every 24 hours, the marks changed in colour scheme each day and began to subtly represent the variety of feelings and emotions being experienced. Almost 18 days were painted in total, 25,835 minutes. Watercolour on 220gsm cartridge, 250x150cm, 2016
